Maxwell's Demon was criticized for using more energy to analyse candidate gas molecules near a trapdoor that the sorting operation could yield. The analysis is not needed if the candidate gas molecules self select themselves without special consideration within a mechanism that producess different outcomes according to different velocity and directionality attributes of these gas molecules with due feedback from other influences. If there is no special consideration, than the information involved is zero because information is unexpectedness in Information Theory, as formulated by Claude E. Shannon. The special influence implicit in a demon's personality is removed in the varient gas molecule sorter known as Smoluchowski's Trapdoor.
